The free news app by MDR AKTUELL provides fast and reliable information on current events from the regions of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia, as well as the most important news from Germany and around the world.

The MDR AKTUELL app offers news covering politics, economy, society, culture, and sports, along with insights on sustainability, environment, family, and digitalization.

With the regional filter, you can tailor news from Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia to your preferences.

Moreover, in the live section, you have the opportunity to follow MDR's news program via live stream and live broadcasts.

Featuring tablet-adapted design for multitasking, the MDR Aktuell app allows easy simultaneous use of multiple apps with split-screen functionality.

For iPhone and iPad users, a floating player enables watching videos or live streams in a separate window while using the app.

The features of the MDR Aktuell app include:
